I have the 50`s vintage strat thing covered but I want a new strat with the 9.5 radius . I have no clue what model to buy because I know I will most likely replace the pickups with aftermarket pups right away.

What should I buy? Excluding the JM strat.I would not own anything with that guys name on it even if it was free.

If you are instantly going to start modifications, the Fender MIM Standard is the one for you. It has the radius you are looking for and relatively inexpensive. If you still want cheaper, the Squier Standard has the same neck radius as well.

What kind of music do you play? The American Standards have a pretty nice set of pups in them. Can't see changing those. You'll get the 9.5 radius your looking for too. YMMV.... 8) Mike

Hello Maxoom

Here are 3 choices in the order I buy if I were
looking to hotrod a guitar.

1. Mexico Standard
2. Highway 1
3. American Standard

Cheers.

American Deluxe. Very close to custom shop quality without the crazy price, yet a very technologically advanced Strat that still retains it's traditional sounds as well.
