I purchased a MIM 50th Anniversary Gold Strat, and absoulutely love the tone of bridge pickup. Can anyone give me info as to what kind of pickup it so that i can replace the pickup in my other strat? Thanks much.....

Premising it has not been changed out prior to you owning it, the one with the humbucker is a Fender Atomic. If it is the one with the single coil, at best, it is a Tex Mex. Otherwise, it is the usual standard one. There were a handful of minor variations on this model.

Thanks Martin for the quick reply. The Strat is all original, but I don't think it has the standard pickup. I, as well as others, have noticed that the bridge pickup when used alone has a rather wet, sweet sound, without the standard bridge pickup "ice pick" highs. Guess I'll just have to remove it and see if there are any identifying numbers or markings.

The 50th Anniversity Golden Strat come with Vintage single coils!!!! Mello sounding pickups.

The MIM 50th.Anniversary Golden stratocaster was a one year guitar and part of the classic series guitars that are MIM. Its part #013-2004
