I'm a new member so I don't know if this is appropriate. I'm looking for a Fender mini strat to purchase. NOT A SQUIRE MINI STRAT. I know they made them but I can't find one. New or used is fine. Thanks , Tedd.

I don't think I have ever seen a Fender 2/3 scale strat.

I think they made some in Japan in like the 80's or 90's. I seen a few pics, but don't know the specs.

Here's a link to a mini strat body, from 1993.

I know that they made them because I played one at a music store somewhere in the midwest about 2 years ago.I travel full time so it's hard to remember where I was. I also saw it about 4 years ago in the big Fender product catalog. They're out there but I just can't find one. Thanks, Tedd

There was a mexican made model called the Stratocaster junior, now discontinued.

I know this is not what you want.......but it's the only Mini Strat I've seen.

I bought one for my son in 2005 (not for sale though).

I really like it. It does need a decent setup, but it is A LOT nicer than the Squire. Only thing I needed to do with re-cut one nut slot.

It has a three ply pickguard, nicer hardware, Tex-Mex pups, and WAAAY nicer tuners.

It actually stays in tune and has tone.

Good luck finding one. Hope Fender starts making these again.

I have one for sale. It's black. Made in Mexico. One of the first ones made. Like new except where the sticker was on the pickguard. I am going to list on Ebay unless someone wants to buy. I will have to have $400. I will sell through PayPal or anyway to make the buyer more comfortable
