Got it in the mail this week! Love it!! Id always wanted one, just to have one, but couldnt see spending the cash on it - the $999 was hard to pass up - the neck feels great! I have several 3 tone bursts, but this one is exceptionally beautiful! Great guitar!

Anyone get talked into to the Friday deal?

congrats.I bought a SRV 3 years ago for 1399 so you got an excellent bargain. The neck on the srv is one of the nicest necks I have played. You notice a little better quality the farther up the food chain you go.Definetely a nicely made guitar.

Hello Asg,

Another Fender Friday pay off.
Congrats on the new axe,
those SRV's are a heck of a nice Strat.

Best of luck with it and don't forget photos.

Cheers.

Congrats! You're going to love her, they are great guitars. The neck has a good feel to it, you can't help but try and choke the crap out of it. Turn the volume knob full on so you get a nice growl out of the pickups.

Does the guitar give you his tone? SRV's guitar sound was unique. His Strat did not sound like your typical Strat does.

You'd need his hands for his tone. ;)

Congrats on the new strat! Don't leave us hanging, post some pics when you get the chance. :D

If you change out the pickgard you will need a 9 hole 57 strat pickgard.I just replaced mine with a black one to keep it close to the original.
