I'm doing some work on a friends MIM Strat. I'm changing out the stock pups and giving the guitar a complete setup. He's also asked about rewiring the guitar with vintage style push-back wire. I told him that would be no problem as I have plenty from other pickup clippings.
Have any of yall done this to your Strat? Did it make any discernable tonal difference? Are there any drawbacks or technical problems that this would cause?

Thanks,

Russ

Why does he want to use vintage style cloth?

He figures this is how the Strats were wired in the past and figures that while I've got the hood popped I could go ahead a rewire it. If its not gonna cause any problems I guess I'll do it. Whatever floats your boat, right?

Thats how it goes, I have even used braided push back in fenders for people because they ask for it. :D
