it's a challenge, but try and learn black dog by led zeppelin

it's was one of the first songs i learnt and was hard at first but it's great for co-ordination in the fingers and speed. also a rockin' tune! 8)

Going by your moniker, I would try something easy..hehehe
Powerslave by Iron Maiden
Killers by I.M.
Number of the Beast
Somewhere in Time
No really, maybe some old Aerosmith(Toys in the Attic, Get your Wings)
Kiss, yes really (Alive II, Love Gun, Hotter Than Hell, Destroyer)
Any AC/DC (Back in Black is a fave)
All relatively easy stuff, lots of power chords and solos that can be learned by ear.

Comfortably Numb(Freaking great solo) and Another Brick in The Wall - Pink Floyd
Pride and Joy - SRV
Dani California - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hotel California - Eagles (Another great solo)

Are you asking for chord changes or just ideas? Because you should be learning songs you like if that is the case.

Anything by Hendrix is fun to play, just learn the chords and go to town. Most of his solos are pretty easy too.

Black Dog is an awesome song reccomendation since it really works the scales.

Voodoo Chile(Slight Return) by Jimi.
Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Back in Black by AC/DC
La Bamba by Ritche Valens or Los Lobos
Today by SP if you are comfortable with Barre chords.

Little Wing - Hendrix/Clapton/SRV

Layla - Clapton

Highway Star - Deep Purple

The Pump - Jeff Beck

The Angel and the Gambler - Iron Maiden

Learn these five songs and then try to play them in every key...you might be surprised at how good you'll be after that!

Here is one that was a must to know and then became taboo to play, but I think it is fine to learn now. Stairway to Heaven, it will take you through a great journey ,sounds great and is like learning three songs in one that have different rhythm techniques.Back in the day if you could play the whole song you were a guitarist.

1. Sweet Home Alabama (nice mix of picking and chord work)
2. Little Wing (lots of melodic double stops and a nice journey up and down the fretboard)

Two classic guitar toons that contain a lot of techniques you can then use when you're improvising. (Not sure you'll actually LEARN that much from Layla or Comfortably Numb.)

I have a 'Lick Library' DVD of Hendrix stuff, with instructor Danny Gill. Little Wing is on that, along with Hey Joe and a few others... all quite easy to play, but would have taken me ages to figure out for myself.
