I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some rolled fretboard edge images please? I tried a search and got nowhere.

It's hard to see the difference in pictures.

The radius of the rolled edge is very small (a fraction of a mm).

Do a Google on "rolled fretboard edges" for info (and the heavy sparkplug socket DIY trick).

Hi Pink_Floyd: I took that as a challenge and have been pointing my macro lens at the edges of my Am Std fingerboard.

Unfortunately, I'm blowed if I can get a decent photo that actually shows the thing in a meaningful way. I'm not a photographer...

Anyhow. Rolled fingerboard edges are nothing to look at, but make a beautiful difference to how a neck feels, IMHO. What you need to do is handle one: get yourself in to a guitar shop and try the necks of MIA and MIM guitars against one another to discover the difference.

Like all these things, it's not essential - but it's nice.
