I am trying to find a replacement saddle for my son's guitar. The saddle set screw got stripped (by him of course) and we would like to restore the guitar to as original condition as possible.

The guitar is a '62 RI Strat CIJ in the late 90s and the saddle is one of these types (and in this condition):

which is off this guitar:

Anybody have any ideas where/how I can find a direct replacement?

TIA

Jeff

You could try ebay, but I think most vintage style saddles like that, the Fender text is different, one line of text is upside down.

Welcome to the Forum.

Any Authorized Fender Dealer should be able to get a replacement saddle like that.

Exactly! That's the problem I am finding. It's hard to explain (well maybe not that hard - let's just say he's got issues) but in order to restore order to his universe I need to put it back as it was.

+1

And double check that the width is correct (as you can see in the picture above, the ones you want are thinner than the American ones).

The set along the bottom is close enough. Now I just need to find them.

Thanks.

I just noticed on my MIM bridge, the fender goes the same way as yours, but not sure if it's the same width as yours, but it would probably be a lot easier finding mexican ones, if they are.

This one looks pretty close, it's the whole bridge for $16, not bad.

Thank you all for the leads. I am going to contact these vendors directly and see if I can get them.

If any other ideas pop up please let me know.
