That looks more like a part number than a serial number - there are too many digits. Also, a serial number should have a letter in front of it unless it's really old.

Sounds closer to an indonesian serial. Seen some of those with 9 numbers, but usually start with IC, don't know of an american strat like that.

As a follow up: are you sure it's a Fender Strat? That number works for an Ibanez.
