Thats not filled in as a repair could very well be 50's reissue neck. There good picks you have posted now. Is there not a MIJ or CIJ or and other Made in anywhere ID"s. I not sure but I think the MIJ's 50'RI's used two different types of tree.

You have to be careful! The American and the Import saddles are similar (but note the difference) and aren't the same width.
The "Fender Fender" of his saddles matches the Ping Imports below:

It very well could be a MIJ as i know he has several of those an really likes them. Unfortunately I'll have to wait to ask him on Saturday when i see him. Sorry guys wish I knew more and was more help, thanks for tall the feedback.

Going to measure the saddle widths tonight and post pics tomorrow so that should solve that mystery.

Yogi, I am almost positive that regardless of the make/model...it is at least a very early 80's model. I want to say once he told me it was an 82, but also he said once he thought it was a 78. The guy has so many guitars and another older yellow Strat so I can't be sure we were talking about the same one.
