Carvins are very well made quality guitars.I have three and a 5 string koa bass.They are not a Fender but they do there own thing just as well.I do have one gripe and that is the electronics.I have had to replace pretty much all the pots and switches to full size US stuff.They have fabulous finishes and the tops exceed most all PRS 10 tops.They are consistent in construction and have many options to choose from.Most people disregard them because they are a direct order company so the consensus is they must be inferior.That could not be further from the truth.

I've got a Carvin acoustic and I'm very happy with it. I'm a huge fan of their amps. My V3 completely dominates anything in it's price range and holds it's own against "boutique" amps costing significantly more.

Frank Zappa was a big fan of Carvin in general but more so of their amps.
