Okay, by some miracle I managed to control myself yesterday and not buy the American Deluxe Ash in tobacco burst for $899 - shipped, no tax, 1 year same as cash.

I really can't afford it right now, but my MF card has no balance. I was going to grab one and try to sell my Classic Players 50s, but I had second thoughts. My plan was to leave the new guitar in the box and return it in 45 days if my 50s didn't sell...

But then I played the 50s until 2:00 a.m. eastern until the deal ran out. I really love my 50s, and I don't have much experience with American strats. I also got a great bargain on it (paid 400)...

I have mixed feelings today... I don't think I could have brought myself to return the guitar even if I couldn't sell other gear to pay for it. But I also feel I missed out on an amazing deal. Okay thanks for letting me vent. I'm sure I'll have another similar dilemma next Friday!

Those are some great deals! Unfortunately I'm on a gear acquisition freeze for the next few months. :(

Kong,

I'm with you. I had to really fight my GAS, and could not stop thinking about those outrageous deals all day yesterday. I had to painfully pass as well. The holidays are approaching and lets see what holiday deals is in store for us.

Thanks for the sentiment, TGS, you are wise beyond your years, and it is important to know one's priorities. By the way, nice playing in the KOTB vids!

There will be other deals 8)

Yeah I couldn't pull the trigger. I still have 2 project guitars I need to finish before I think of getting something else.
