Hi all!

I am going to mod my HSS MIM strat into a higher end partsocaster.

For the bridge pickup i was thinking about a nice Gibson classic 57 with a cover and Fender CS fat 50's in neck and mid.

Is this possible? And if the gibson spacing isn't right, would it be possible to just load it with a SD or something similar/better/whatever and put a cover on that? Or would it just be impossible to get a cover on a humbucker on a strat with standard HSS routing if you would want to retain the correct spacing?

summoning up: standard HSS strat routing + humbucker with cover +right spacing = possible?

thanks!

(Please comment on the pickup configuration too!)

Actually, not only is it possible, but the narrower spacing of the MIM saddles make it compatible with the pole piece spacing of the 57 Classic which, can also be bought with a cover.

I like your choice of single coil pickups in combination with the 57 Classic too.
