Mr Floyd

Someone asked me once "if you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life and couldn't eat anything else...what would it be?" Answering this was very easy for me...it would be "Ice Cream"

Often times, when people see my passion for guitars, they ask me a similar question. "If you could have only one guitar for the rest of your life, which one would it be?" This is equally as easy to answer... it would be the "Am Deluxe Stratocaster", And I absolutely encourage everyone to "test drive" one of them. But please test drive everything else as well.

My son, who play's professionally, and teaches guitar as well, frequently plays an MIA Strat which he also loves. When I pose the "only one guitar" concept to him he responds immediately with the "Gibson Les Paul". And although I do fancy the Les Paul as well, I think I have gotten too old to strap those 10 pounders around my neck for any length of time.

Luckily for us all..."Ice Cream" still comes in several flavors.

Thanks
Noodles

Noodles I am with you all the way on this but it is never going to happen. P eavey also does the same thing on there site and I sit and build my custom HP special all the time, which is basicly the same guitar as the Wolfgang which I am a fanatic for. I do not know if you ever played a Wolfgang but there the only axes I own besides Fenders and now Fender builds them but they are produced in the Jacksonville custom shop. But if you ever want to see some great Peavey Wolfgang customs go to www.rockandrollweekend.com. Geoff who runs the site and is a good guy has the sickest collection of Vanhalen axes you will see.I wish I got into them earlier as now they sell for close to 2K on ebay these days for production models. Fender would never do this because they sell way more guitars than Carvin and I guess they dont need to, but I would love it if they did and so would everyone else on the forum believe me. I am like you in the sense if you go to a neutral forum like Harmony Central I see kids who have mods waiting for new axes they are waiting to be delivered that they spent 2K on and it blows my mind. I have moded 2 axes in 30 years and those were pup changes. But to kill the value of a new ax unless it is going to be your #1 for a long time is insane. KEEP ON ROCKIN.
