Serial # MZ6005849

Standard Strat 60th anny for sale at a local pawn shop. I really like this model, color, design, etc. haven't played it yet but I'll need to make a decision in the next few days.

What would you suggest is a good price for this? They are asking $400 but open to other options. I'm waiting to see if they can do a layway for me and will take a trade in on my acoustic.

How much would you pay for this vs. asking price?

I paid $399 (CDN) two week ago for a brandnew oldstock stratocaster standard MIM with a maple neck (2008).This comes with a full warranty and dealer setup.Just for your info to compare. It has the three single coil pickups.

thanks for the info, not sure what the conversion ratio is between USD and CDN. I made an initial offer of $350 knowing I can trade in an acoustic and maybe talk them into doing a layaway for me.

any ideas on the serial # anyone? or what year this is?

so they want $400 firm and wont stop the bidding early for a Buy It Now unless it is $400. I'll have to hope someone else doesn't bid on it and then make an offer on it later this week, I dont think I can drop $400 for this one.

Anyone else have any thougths or info?

Make them throw in a HSC (all pawn shops have piles laying around). With that - and if in pristine condition - that's a fair price. Nice looking guitar, by the way...

it comes with a really nice HSC, problem is i dont have 400 upfront and they dont do layaway for ebay items. ill have to wait for it to end and see if i can make a deal. i thought so too, i dont think this is Fiesta red, anyone know?

they said it is a 7 out of 10 on condition but i cant see any cosmetic issues on it at all in the pics.

Serial number MZ6XXX=2006 or 7.

But since it's got the 60th Anniversary Sticker,I would say 06 since Fender was founded in 46. And I don't know, $400 seems steep.

Yeah I thought so too, unless it is just a tone beast...they say the body is 7 out of 10 so there must be some dings I can see in the pic. I told him I would give him $350 with my acoustic being a $100 trade in or $300 straight up. Maybe they will make a deal, but I gotta say visually I love it.

I seen one on craiglist, but in daphne blue and the guy was asking $350. So $350 without a case seems like a decent offer, maybe $375 if it had a case, but $400 doesn't sound too high, if you like the way it plays.

it does come with a pretty nice case. I just figure with them being a pawn shop they are pricing it high and even guitar center has std strats this nice for only 350

I thought THE 60th anniversary mim strat came in blizzard pearl with a maple neck and tex mex pickups?I know the American Series put the 60th badge on all of their strats, but it didnt mean they were all designated 60th models.

That's what I was thinking too, but 4the spaghetti logo and tuners say that is not a mexican standard or deluxe.

Correct, it has vintage tuners.Wonder if it could be a 50s Classic Player or a 50s Classic.
