Welcome.

Regardless of what Fender says, the problem with HSS guitars is that if you cater to the HB, the SCs suffer and vice versa. For example, for the DiMarzio, two 500K 'A' log pots with a .022uf capacitor is what the pickup was designed around to sound its very best. Yet, this combination will make the SCNs sound quite sterile and clanky. Conversely, 250K 'A' pots with a .05uf capacitor is what the SCNs were designed around to bring out the best in them. However, this configuration will make the Super Distortion sound rather fizzy and lose a lot of its dynamics. Either way, you will have a RADICAL volume difference between the H and the Ss (but I'm sure you know that already).

My suggestion (a compromise): Do not wire the DiMarzio to a tone pot. Use a 500K 'A' for the master volume pot and a 250K tone pot for each of the SCNs with a .05uf capacitor.

Thank you for the reply
I forgot to mention that there is only one tone pot and one vol pot,
the requested configuration is the same as for jackson Adrian Smith.
I can not find the wiring of the jackson is the web.
Thank you.

You're welcome.

You can still wire the two SCNs to the tone pot and not the HB. The only drawback (even in my first posting) would be that when you have the DiMarzio on in combination with the middle position SCN, the tone pot will also control the DiMarzio.

I'm presuming you are using a standard, 5 way Strat switch as I am not familiar Adrian Smith nor his guitars. Here is my albeit, crude diagram for you. You are looking at the pickup selector switch terminals from the bottom of the switch with the switch being mounted to the pickguard (or guitar as applicable):

#1 [] [] #5

#2 [] [] #6

#3 [] [] #7

#4 [] [] #8

Solder the DiMarzio to terminal #1.

Solder the middle position SCN to terminal #2.

Solder the neck position SCN to terminal #3.

Solder a wire from terminal #4 to terminal #5 and then to the volume pot.

Terminal #6 is not used.

Solder the tone pot to terminals #7 and #8.

Make sure one way or the other that the switch itself is grounded too.

Have you thought of just going with a Fender super switch? Or any 4 pole 5 way?

I am sure you will have no problem! Anyone who knows the difference between old and new code (A-B,C-A,F-N/A) and how a logarithmic and linear pot differ should have no ploblem wiring a tone/vol. pot 5-way.
