I got a Fender MIJ Squier a few years back really did not pay much attention to the fact it was a MIJ Squier. I got it at a Pawn Shop for $200.00 and I play it well for my ability. I just recently had taken it to work one day to show a friend who plays. He played it and asked if I was interested in selling it. As I have no reason to sell it I declined and explained it plays good and I really like it. I have had Hand Crafted Jackson Charvels In the late 80's to American made Fender Strats from the late 90s. This guitar to me plays better than either of the other 2. He also admitted it feels great and no drags and is just a all out amazing guitar.
As reading I see some MIJ range from Expensive to please light it im cold. The serial number searches range from its a 80's MIJ Squier. What I would like to know is if they is a way to tell what year it was made and where it was crafted. Some say MIJ but was told really was american assembled. Anyways I will Stop with the Ramblin the serial number is as follows. E722340.
Any help would be nice.
MIke

I own a 1987 Fender/Squire Stratocaster serial # E760XXX Made in japan. You have something very close to what I have. It is most probably a MIJ Fender Strat with a squire label. It seems to me that at the time, Fender was making guitars at their Japanese plant, and putting Fender and Squire badges on them, even tho they were made to similar specs and quality. My 1987 Fiesta Red Squire is a very nice guitar, with a beautiful tone and feel. Only paid $80 for mine tho. I guess the shop didn't know what a MIJ E serial # Strat was. It is a really nice guitar, Squire logo and all.

Yeah I have a squier from Japan withe the serial number of E7757XX, I think most of the strats in 87 were from Japan, with the exception of the higher end strats, like the Strat Plus.
