Since this is all subjective just like what are the best Strat pickups..Lets here what you all feel are the best Amp and guitar combos..Even though many say that Marshalls were made for gibsons i have always felt that the sound of a hot Strat and a JTM 45 was a great combination..Then if you were talking blues a Fender twin and a Strat gave some great tones also...What are favorite guitar amp combo's?

I'm lucky enough to have some great gear. After years searching for "the tone", I settled for "the toneS".

My main MIA strat with Hot Noiseless, "Sophi" and my Mesa Boogie Tremoverb. Pure Hard rock bliss.

My CS 50th '54 with my '57 Deluxe is the perfect early Fender tone.

My Tele Plus (or a Les Paul) with my Marshall JCM800, getts scorching metal!

if I'm feeling jazzy, I go with a strat and my Hot Rod Deluxe on the clean setting.

Baja Tele and a couple of jcm 800's (very billy gibbons in the 4th position)
Clapton modded strat and a couple of jcm 800's (monster for metal rhythm, very scott ian)
57 hotrod and a couple of jcm 800's (good for anything)

Can you tell I like them JCM's.

Gibson Les Paul through an old Twin Reverb.
Strat through a Deluxe Reverb II.
Although I would like to try the strat through an old bassman or dual showman.

I am very partial to my Gibby Explorer 1 (mohagany body/maple neck), my MIA standard Stratocaster (ash), and my BC Rich neck thru assassin through my 5150. I find it very versital to my needs. Then again, I am a metal head so that might explain it  . Of course needs/likes vary person to person.

Customized strat and a mesa boogie. Worked nicely for Santana, Roger Fisher of Heart (Magic Man, Barracuda), and Brad Gillis of (Ozzy, Night Ranger). That's what I have and I couldn't ask for a better sounding, more versatile rig.

A Telecaster and a Mesa/Boogie Mark I.

Or, perhaps, a Stratocaster and a Bassman.

Failing that, a Rickenbacker 360 and a Vox AC30.
