Ceri: Thanks, man! Nothing "girlie" about an appreciation of the fine points of the look!. I had an aesthetic goal with this guitar, because I was building what I still hope will be my last electric... I wanted it to look and feel like an old cello... hence the ebony "pegs."

The body wood feels like a 100-year old instrument due to the unique feel of the now fully-cured oil & wax finish. It is absolutely one of a kind, and my wife says it's the first electric guitar she ever saw that looked to her like a musical instrument and not a machine.

I like the looks of that '62 Hot Rod, too!

Exquisite instrument Slap. It's a given that it plays as great as it looks. 8) Mike

SlapChop,

Nice guitar. Makes me want to build my own.

Bendsnlicks,

My all time favorite guitar (I have owned) is my Highway 1. Plays excellant (#1 reason why I bought it), and tone to die for.

Fender/Schaller "F" locking tuners, Dimarzio Super Distortion, reverse wound middle Fender AlNico III stock pickup in the middle, regular Fender stock AlNico III in the neck, white pearloid 3 ply pick guard, "F" neck plate, black accessary kit for the knobs and back trem cover, and Schaller strap locks.

This is an easy one 89 Strat Ultra loaded with lace sensor pick ups RED/RED Dually Silver in the mid Blue in the neck..The Dually can be split for single coil tones from the bridge position also..
Coming on Strong is a 2008 MIM Fat Strat that has had all finish sanded off the neck and blocked out with 2800 grit sand paper,Graph nut, vintage trem,MIA string trees ,Locking tuners,And loaded with John Suhr V60's in the neck and mid with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gate in the bridge..This is my number one stage guitar it has tremendous tone and action the neck feels like talcum powder on a Babies A%$..Plus i have less than $600 in the whole deal

I love the headstock.... how did you have the decal done? Also am a big yin yang follower...whats holding that onto the guitar? Very nice.

Also addressing the original post, I have many many guitars, and I have special feelings about all of them...but my main go to daily player is an American Deluxe Strat in Montego Black, Gold Pickguard, Maple board.

Love the Zencaster
Noodles

Can u explain what confussionism is to me please

Confucianism and Zen have almost nothing in common, aside from geography. The yin/yang symbol is Taoist, and found it's way into many traditions, including Buddhism, which is the root of Zen.

The cloisonné pin has a straight pin sticking out the back (the kind that's held onto a garment by a friction grip stud). I just marked the location, drilled a super narrow hole into the guitar slightly less deep than the length of the pin, and then dripped a little SuperGlue on the pin and pressed it into the hole until it was flush. It's on for life.

SlapChop, that's a brilliant idea, and it looks very cool. I've got tons of kitschy little Soviet pins and badges. I'm sure I can find one that will look good on my candy apple red Strat. Hmm... 8)

My favorite Fender would be my black 08 American Standard with maple fret board. My favorite guitar however, would be my Silverburst Les Paul.

That there is a puurdy geetar!

I used to think the Jags were ugly and not worth a second look. But now they are growing on me big time. The more I check em out, the more and more I want one. Or want to build one.
