Hello,

I just purchased a new American Standard Strat back in July. It's a 3 tone Sunburst with Rosewood fretboard, all single coils. Beautiful instrument and plays great, but the pickup hum is driving me crazy. Thinking about changing to a noiseless type with more output. I play through a Fender Super Champ & Peavey Vypyr Tube 60. I'm looking at a Fender Supersonic or Cybertwin SE in the near future. My style of music leans toward heavier rock and blues with some( what I would call) light metal... think Gary Hoey to Gary Moore with some Steve Vai to most heavy instrumental type music. Some suggestions so far:

Dimarzio area 61's or HS2's - neck & middle

SD JB Junior - Bridge

Fender Hot Noiseless

Hope this is enough info and would really appreciate any input on pickup selection.

Thanks

How about Area 58 in neck and middle and Area 61 in bridge?
They sound pretty good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwubC7G0NZM

I have the stock noiseless ones in my Am Deluxe Ash Strat – it's my first Strat, but one week in and I love them!

Thanks for the feedback. Went to You Tube and the Kinmans sound great. The Blues and Woodstock series are very nice. Price is no object, we're talking Strat here.....I still hear good things about the JB Junior & Dimarzio HS-2's. Anybody out there have these?? Thanks again for your input.
