I have the String Saver stainless saddles on my strat and love them. They took the edge off the "brightness" associated with the vintage style stamped steel saddles.

Has anyone got close to the saddles on the new CS Custom Deluxe Telecaster? Six block style saddles, solid brass with a chrome coating. They look very nice indeed in a close-up photo in Guitarist magazine, but I can't find a good pic on the net.

I wonder how they sound?

Cheers - C

I have the Callaham Vintage Strat Bridge with cold rolled steel saddles that are nickel plated. Can't beat them.

I didn't see the article, Ceri, but rumor has it that this guy may be stocking them :

Hi Mike. Thanks for that. But though those look nice I believe they're not the new ones I saw in the magazine.

...If I can't dig up a pic somewhere else maybe I'll be naughty and scan the magazine photo later, so's we can all see. Visually, they seemed very cool. But I don't know how they sound, of course.

Cheers - C

Thanks everyone, sounds like I should be happy from the responses.Replacing the cheesy rolled mex-import chromed pot metal ones so I`m sure this will be an upgrade for me.I will polish them up myself.

Okely Dokely: here's the CS Deluxe Tele saddles I was on about. Solid brass, chrome coated - it just looks like the chrome has softened the edges and made the surfaces slightly curvy, which has a certain visual appeal to my eyes. Maybe comfy for the hand...:

Obviously the sound is what counts. But they're pretty...

I have them on my 2004 USA Standard Strat and I love them. Played an 09 recently (with a different kind) and didn't like them as much. May be because I am used to the ones on my guitar, but they just didn't "feel" right to me.

I hardly noticed any tonal differences.

Big Jay and Maxoom, What kind of saddles are they? I thought they were string savers, but at the graph tech site I can only find the all teflon?, or the steel, chrome or gold ones with the grap tech insert. I was thinking of going callaham block and new saddles on my strat, but I wanted to stay with all metal saddles.
Thanks,
filerj

Update: I installed the SS saddles along with some Wilkenson locking tuners with the small vintage style knobs. Dunlop Dual design straplocks,GFS steel trem block. She has all new CTS pots and US 5 way switch, orange cap,and I replaced the pickguard and covers with new black stuff. Everything is working out and sounds great so I think I`m done with this one. Loving the SD Antiquity pickups.

I can`t get a pic that shows the even neck color tint ,it is though?

Wow you can actually see the V shape in the back of this neck.

Ok now I`m gonna play the heck out of it!
