The Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler or The Boss Roland Space Echo any thoughts out there?

The Space echo is good, but I think the line 6 DL4is just a bit better. Of course IMHO, the EH Deluxe Memory Man is my favorite delay pedal atm, nothin like good ole analog delay. Also don't overlook the Boss DD-7, (again IMHO)I like it better the space echo. As always with these types of questions YMMV, so try them out yourself and see what you think ^^

I agree with Capo not to overlook the DD-7. My buddy has one and he loves it to death. Personally I went with the DD-20 Giga Delay from Boss. It doesn't have as many delay models as a DL-4, but the delay time is longer, the SOS looper allows for a longer loop, the LCD screen is very helpful to know tempo, rhythm, etc..., and you can have up to 5 different delays saved into the memory. The DL-4 only allows you to save 3. The downside of this is you have to scroll through them (because of only 2 buttons) but I am able to scroll through really quickly. It's not a big deal at all to me. Plus you've got a built in tap tempo, or the flexibility to add an external tap switch. One other thing to keep in mind is the reliability factor. Hop on MF, Harmony Central, etc... and you'll see that so many DL-4's just crap out after the warranty expires (which is one year). Boss on the other hand is a 5 year warranty. Ultimately the choice is yours, and depends on your budget, needs, and wants in the pedal. And the DD-20 is $30 cheaper than the DL-4, and the DD-7 is even cheaper than the DD-20. Good luck!
