I have seen Dave Gilmore, Mark Knopfler, and Eric Clapton (some of my favourite guitarists) use these pickups and I am now seriously considering a set for my 2004 MIA Strat.

What do you think? Is the £200 + fitting worth it?

I have found when playing loud with the band that my strat can sound a bit "thin". Can you recommend any other replacement pickups to give my Strat a warmer fuller sound?

I have a set of 3 EMG-SA active singles in my '72 RI Strat, and I love them. I also have a 1990 HM Strat HSS with 2 SA singles along with an 81 humbucker. Can't beat EMG for sound quality or quiet operation. I do love them, especially recording sessions when they don't feedback or squeel, or hum too badly.

I put 'em on my MIM standard and I love them. Definitely thickens the tone.
