I was just cleaning and setting up my gigging Strats and thought I would post a group picture for all to see:
Image
Except for the silver Strat in the middle, (which is a 2005 US Standard), I built the other 4 with all US Fender Parts. The outside 2 are hardtails and all but 1 have the S-1 switching setup. As you can see, I love the Hwy1 necks but I don't really like the rest of the Hwy1 guitar so I built my own to my taste. I'm not saying the Hwy 1 guitar is not good, I just don't care for the vintage trem, pickups, or finish. Anyway each of these guitars have their own feel and tone and I like all of them:)
Peace,
tfancil

PS: Maybe I could get my own signature model;)

Thanks guys! I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and gigging for over 25 and have owned just about every type of guitar made and I just keep coming back to Fender Strats. Leo's body design is perfect for me! You just can't buy a more comfortable guitar to play, unless it is a over-priced copy of a Strat

Hello Tfancil,

That's a nice Stratocaster collection you have there,
also nice, is the arrangement for the photo.
Thanks for the pics.

Cheers.

I like the contrasting look of the first two.

Thanks, those are the two that I use the most for gigging and they both have the black tweed cases :) We tune to E flat and we drop D a few songs so I use the black hardtail for the drop tuning stuff. I play in a rock cover band so I use the other guitars at home in standard tuning to learn the songs.
I avoided the single coil bridge guitars for many years but since I have a couple now, I'm growing more and more attached to them. Also the SCN pickups are so quiet I can even use them with my XT Live hooked up to my computer without that over-bearing hum!

The white Strat is my favorite too. It actually is a transparent white and you can see the ash grain through the finish, but you can't tell from the picture. I was lucky to find that body. It is a 2001 and is in almost new condition.

I see that!

I like the HWY1 neck too. I didn't like the satin finish on the body of my HWY1 HSS, so I gave it a good glossing! Now it's fine, IMO.

Well like me I see you prefer Rosewood necks. Just a great group of axes and a nice variety of colors.
