Modern.

I like flatter fingerboards, compound radii, quiet pickups, double truss rods, tall/narrow frets, locking tuners, the whole nine.

Im so tired of these "DELUXE" guitars... :(

American Series (I cant say it enough) is the best!

ipersonally prefer the modern deluxe with s-1 it can replicate old and new tones like never before.however you need the proper amp. to spit out all that fire.

I like a combination. I like the 7.25 radius and the BIG headstocks, but I also like the jumbo frets and better parts.

i think the best way to go here is get a 62 reissue cuz its got the modern parts with the old school style its the best of both worlds

It just really depends on what your after. The vintage and vintage reissues are going to give you a different presence than the moderns, which is great if that's what you want. If you are looking for a more modern sound you have to play modern electroncs to get it.

That's why we all have so many guitars. Different tools for different jobs...

I think that there are good features in both.

I DO like the vintage tuners though.

I have a Modern only because I can't afford a vintage. I have played Vintage and don't see anything too special. They are a bit more pleasing to the eye though.

Every guitar is different. I love different guitars for different reasons. Old does not always mean better.

I have more guitars than I realy need. Some I realy love and some not so much. It depends on my mood. My current favorates are my 50th Aniv. Strat and my Taylor.

You guys can have your modern technological advances, I'll take the old stuff over modern any day of the week. That's why I picked an mexican standard over an american standard, I wanted the vintage style bridge.

I know what the vintage can do. After seeing legend after legend use them and having, obviously tremendous results, I can't see no reason to change over.

It's kinda like the old saying, "If it's broke, don't fix it". In this case, "If it works good enough, why change it"?

I actually prefer the modern a tad more than the vintage...

But then again, apples vs. oranges...

I myself dislike over roundish fretboards, notes just die when I bend... :?

I like Vintage looks (bridge, colors, big headstocks, etc), Vintage electronics (could never get used to any advanced switching systems), and modern neck profiles. (always need at least a 9.5 radius with medium jumbos or better)

I have to say vintage. I like modern features but I love that big head stock and fat neck. That's actually why I own 2 79 strats. Those head stocks and necks just rock. One has had all the pickups changed and the tuners as well and is like a vintage modern rockers the other has only had the bridge pickup changed but everything else has been left alone (I kept the bridge pickup so I can go back to how it was when ever I want.

I prefer vintage. I learned on my 66’ strat and I have a 73’ tele custom. The 7.25 radius and thinner frets are just more comfortable to me.
