I have a deluxe player's strat, mi'm standard, and epi les paul standard. I know the mim has 9.5 radius. and i know my deluxe player's has 12 and it seems like it bends easier. Is that the reason it bends easier.

Also does any one know what radius my lp has it seems like it bends just like the mim standard

The Epi should have a 12 inch radius like the Deluxe player. A flatter radius makes for easier bending for some. Hope this helps. 8) Mike

The lower the radius the more arc a fretboard has. Example: 7.25 has more arc than 9.5.

Most poeple agree ( I am one of them) that a fret board with less arc is easier to bend on.

LP's traditionally have flatter boards with radius ranging from 10"- 16"

I'll agree that this is the common thought. I actually like playing on 9.5 and smaller radius necks because I happen to like bending on them better. That rounder fretboard just feels better in my hands.

This is more pronounced for acoustics. My Taylor has a great, wide and flat neck. Amazing for writing, chords and fingerstyle. For rock playing, blues and soloing - I don't like that wide flat neck as much.

A combination of tall frets and a flatter board or larger radius will make bending easier.
