How so when there are veneer'd rosewood fingerboards also. The late 60's maple capped necks were also a slab, not a veneer.

I think the only rosewood neck fender (or anyone else to my knowledge) made was the rosewood tele.

Yeah, the Moderne(57/8) would be gangbusters if it were found. As would a Fender marauder, another guitar which has not really been seen, the type I anyways with the hidden pups. There were supposed to be about 35 modernes prototyped and about 6 marauders.
