I was asking the other day if it was real that the new 2009 stratocaster were made cheaper than the one of the last couple of years , cuz if it's real i really think i'ill buy an 2006 one . If it's real that it's make cheaper , what the hell happened of the good old strat made with perfection and quality . (Sorry if my english is not that good)

Thanks for reply !

If you want a strat made exactly the same way as a guitar was 35 odd years ago, then the only option is customshop. The quality these days is brilliant. I question the judgement of anyone who makes such assumptions then fills your head with em. I'd also question how they are qualified to make such sweeping genralizations.

Hello NikFleury,

Well firstly, welcome to this forum.

Secondly your totally wrong and out of line.

Thirdly, surely you are welcome to your own opinion,
but if you are going to express it, you should back it with facts.

Fourthly, yes your command of the English language is not very good
so we comprehend that your thoughts may have skewed in translation.

Cheers.

ya- buy the 06- thats what i would do. cause i own a 09 MIA strandard and it is the sweetest sounding guitar i have. it plays and feels just sooo nicely. it sits in my livingroom on a stand next to me and i pick it up and play it contantly. ya but i really hate that it aint like the "good ol strats "of yester year when men knawed the the bodys from wood blanks with their teeth and hand fabricated all the metalic parts by rubbing blocks of steel against rocks and other various hard surfaces. ya those were the days my friend.

Some of you might be going a little too hard on this guy.

look there's always rumors that a company is cutting costs, or using lower quality goods in manufacturing their products. This guy has heard one of those rumors. His english might not be strong enough for him to express that properly, i don't think he is making an accusation, but rather asking if this rumor is true.

But there is no basis in fact. Fender still uses the same woods, and top quality parts. Don't believe he rumor. Fender still makes the same top quality instruments as always.

I only posted like I did because he apologized for his English.
No problem having fun with folks as long as language doesn't stand in the way.

I purchased a MIM 09 strat and it had a great sound and neck but there were alot of quality control issues, it had 4 screws coming out of the back from where they mounted the bridge, when I took it back in, they checked 4 or 5 other 09 MIM and they all had the same flaws to one degree or another.

I exchanted it for a MIA 09 and havent looked back, my playing may suck since im still learning but it sounds like an angel to me...well atleast it does when someone decent plays it ~chuckles~

but hey everyone has to start somewhere

I still dont understand him. I mean I understand what he is saying but he says he heard the 09 strats are not made very well then he says his 09 is the sweetest sounding guitar he has and it feels soooo nice. So what is he looking to hear as he knows how good it is because he has one.And what the heck is- the knawed the bodies from blanks with there teeth?and rubbing blocks of steel against rocks? It sounds like a relic from a million years BC

stray,
your confusing my post with the original poster. i was being very very sarcastic. i suffer from a dry sense of humor. i really like my 09 MIA.

as for the rest of it, just ment to get a grinn. havent you ever heard the same old rap from people who refuse to admit any line of new produdt couldnt be as good as the "stuff we had when we were young" wether it be guitars, cars, motorcycles ect. some things ya, but for example i used to love hearing the old farts talk about how fast there motocross bikes were in "the old days" . man the stuff i was riding at the time was freakin a million times better than some old POS 60-80's bike. now im not gonna sit here and tell ya my bikes were so much better than today without riding one of todays bikes. and chances are the new bikes are far better.

IMHO i think fender does a nice job of it. i have an appreciation for classic anything but im not gonna take a ride on a mercury 1 rocket if i can go space shuttle. know what i mean?

god bless, jimmy b
