I just got one of these from eBay and am absolutely bursting to tell the whole world how good it is!!!!!!!!!!

Apart from how beautifully made it is and gorgeous to look at – more important, I've had this sound in my head for weeks that I wanted.... and I've just plugged in and found it. To me that's like finding the holy grail.

That's about all really... very self-indulgent post. Apart from the fact that if anyone's thinking about one...DON'T THINK... go buy one.

I have an American Deluxe and I just love it to death. Not ash, though.

I have owned a few MIA strats , one MIM strat , and one mid 80s Strat Plus (for some reason i thought it was a Elite Plus but never looked to see if they made them or not) Until this year i never had a American Deluxe and i got to say it is by far the one i like the best.

I do read here CS is a better guitar...guess that needs to be my next one.

I'm a believer. I have had my Tobacco Sunburst American Deluxe Ash Strat for almost a month and I'm still having trouble putting it down. It's so pretty and sounds so good that it almost makes me feel that I'm not worthy. Then I plug it into my Twin and I'm all better.

A pic? Sure.

Seems like I made a good choice. Not looked into how to post a pic, but john.bohn... that's the one.

The neck is a bit of a challenge compared to a Baja, but it's already making me get my thumb behind it, instead of gripping it like a monkey... still sound like a monkey mind you... and according to wife, look like one too!

American Delux Ash Strat. Love Ash so much. So warm and feels so good and such awesome looks. I want ash body with a transparent crimson like seen on the Deluxe Players.

Bought a new American Deluxe Ash blonde, very nice sound, great neck. I think these are just a notch under Custom shop. Enjoy

I was sceptical about the S-1 switch because on the Baja (that's just been sold) I honestly thought it was rubbish – I could only find one position that I even half liked. On the Strat it's a lovely little box of tricks.

I'm a bit of a Luddite... can anyone tell me how to post pics?

I have to agree. I grabbed a Tele Deluxe with a rosewood neck which was the first Fender I bought in 7 years and I was so blown away that I had to get a strat to go with it and grabbed an ash Deluxe the craftsmanship and tone are off the chart. I really believe Fender is making the best guitars they EVER made right now.As I compare them to my older axes I really believe the quality is better and I have some nice axes.
