Warmoth does not have the nice options and return policies that US Custom Guitars does. My vote goes to US Custom Guitars.

USCG does make some very nice products. The only caveat here being that they are NOT Fender licensed, therefore have headstocks of a different shape. Musikraft has nice options, quite a few, and are nice to work with, I have found. There are a few negative reviews on Harmony Central, but in my experience, the issues described by others would seem to be out of the ordinary. You can also use the "express" service and get a neck in about 3 weeks time, or less, so long as you can live with a more limited set of options.

i like the 7.25 better but agreed it is mostly a difference in chording or bending. when im playing chords ill use the 7.25, anything more for bending or plucking i like a 9.5.

In my opinion, the whole radius thing is a question of getting used to.

Until recently I had only owned / played guitars with a radius of 9.50'' and above. I recently decided I really wanted a 62 RI (with a 7.25'' radius) and asked this very forum if the reduced radius would have any impact on the playability and overall feel of the guitar. The members of this forum offered very different opinions...

I also looked up the reviews on Harmony Central and again - the opinions were very different regarding the radius.

Eventually I bought the 62 and I have to say that it is now my favorite guitar. It could be due to the novelty factor, but I still love the feel and curvature of the neck.

However, one thing that is a fact beyond any doubt, is that bending high e and b strings will cause choking (especially on higher registers) if the action on those two strings is too low. This is pure physics and has nothing to do with personal opinion. I can tolerate a bit of choking if the sound is still full when amplified, but I realize some people may have a problem with it. I know of certain players (I think Eric Johnson is one) who raise the action of those two strings only, therefore creating a flatter string radius towards the e and b strings…

'Agree with a previous post; 'personally, 'do not care enough to notice the difference and never made effort to even measure them. Or nut width.

'Just play the things....
