i just got me a sweet 62 reissue strat thats white with tort pickguard and rosewood neck..i used to play live many years with a hot rod deville 410 and now may want to get a blues deville 410 -is this a good idea? :? i havent played for a year so im out of the loop, can someone give me some straight info on this rig-as far as tone- as this 62 ri guitar is clear as a bell compared to the last strat i had [an 81 std] tunes will be blues,funk,jazz,r&b,etc..thanx zo13

G'day Mate,

awesome and congrats on the 62 ri strat.

"PLEASE POST SOME PIC'S"

I must say I'm a big fan of the 62 because I have 8 of them LOL.

The rigg I am running at the moment is a Fender Hotrod Deville 410 all factory "NON MODDED".

Yes the blues deville amp is awesome, but I've found the 410 HRD gives me more headroom for my tone's and various genre's I play.

I must say I find the 410 HRD to be more versatile with it's more modern features, but you can still retain a vintage tone. "JUST MY OPINION"

I found this out when I was shopping for one of the two amps mentioned. After putting in a lot of shopping hours and shopfront jamming I came home with my HRD.

With the amp I run a BOSS CS-3 which further brings out the single coil strat spank needed for the genres you have mentioned and of course the 410's help. I also play the same genres.

Anyway get back on stage brother, you will not regret it as you know.

It's a great guitar for sure. The AVRI '62 strat has been my main axe for well over a decade. For an amp I recommend the DRRI.

it is a 2002-2003 model. I am very good with the VRI serials and can tell you dates based on your serial. so if anyone else wants theirs dated, let me know.
