I went over to a local shop recently and an American HSS Strat caught my eye. This model to be exact..



I felt it was the perfect guitar for me. The neck was the best for my hands and the ash body had the nicest wood grain I've seen on a guitar. Somehow, it didn't feel right though. Call me insane, but I'm not a fan of the colour. I'm the type of person who loves to stand out. I wanted something similar yet different.

Sleeping on the job recently, I dreamt up what exactly I wanted. The exact same guitar, With Duncan (my favourite) pickups, but most importantly, a unique finish Fender doesn't do. (See Telecaster pic)



An ocean-ish blueburst. I would give up all my (sub-par)guitars for that Am St. HSS with that finish.

Im posting it here to get your thoughts on it, and if I do decide to go for it, how do I go about getting the (Nitro) finish I want?

Didn't the Bonnie Rait artist model from a few years back have a blue burst body,

It had a blueburst, but not quite the type I'm after. Her's was a pure blue. The one I desire is an ocean blue, one which has both blue and green hues (Blue being the dominant color) in it.
