I am looking for a neck for my Strat that already has the headstock painted black from the factory. Like the American Mahogony and the Aerodyne models have. If anyone comes across one for sale please let me know. Either American or Mexican. Doesn't matter to me.

That's a lot of coin for a neck with some black paint on the top.

I just want the black headstock. I would prefer that it doesn't say Aerodyne because I don't want my project guitar to be mistaken for one. Actually to be more exact I would like a maple neck with an Ebony fretboard and black painted headstock that still has the Fender logo on it. But I know that that is not an option. So just a Fender neck with the black headstock will suffice for this project.

Cheaper isn't the reason I posted this thread. (although I am not opposed to saving money) The neck in the thread I posted is almost perfect. Except is says Aerodyne (which I guess I can live with if it turns out I have to)

I have found a couple necks but they have had some ugly grain pattern. Or have been made in Japan. And I don't want one from Japan for this project. Don't ask me why, I have no idea and can not explain why. But I do not want a neck from Japan for this project. I know its not rational and makes no sense. I know they make great quality Fenders. But the body for this project is form Mexico, that is why I would prefer one from Mexico. And I would also want one made in America for this project, because.....well......it's made in America.
