I am thinking about maybe switching my HSS to a good old SSS config and I am interested in the Hot Noiseless or Vintage Noiseless set. But I need them in black. Does Fender offer them with Black pup covers? I can not find anything anywhere that says that they do.

I know I can just replace the pup covers with plain Black covers. But thought I'd check to see if they can be ordered in black from Fender first.

The only Fender pup sets I can find that come in black are the Fender Mod Shop Samarium Cobalt sets.

Note that the plain replacement covers will only fit the bridge pickup for the sets you've named.

I prefer the Hot Noiseless over the "regular" noiseless, the "hots" have almost a stacked humbucker tone, where as the "regulars" have a very good standard strat tone, but "withOUT" the 60 cycle hum.

Corrected.

I was looking at one of the ebay strat stores and found the Texas specials in black. Which is another one I am considering. This was at Stratoshpere. Can anyone point me in the direction of the other good strat store on ebay. I can never remember the other good ones name.

Thanks for the info Martian! I might have made a purchase that would have made me very unhappy!

Aaaaah Haaaaah! I found some in black. Now I know they Do come that way. All I have to do is find a set of them new!

http://cgi.ebay.com/FENDER-Vintage-Nois ... 286.c0.m14

If this set was in better shape I'd pick em up.

The Fender "Vintage Noiseless" pickups do not have the 60 cycle hum, hence the name "noiseless". Just to clarify... :)

Hollis you beat me to it.Sean what makes you think they have hum unless you have them on an ax and are having a grounding problem.
