Just picked up a mint , virtually unplayed 60th Anniv American Strat in the silver case. Wow, what a guitar! Fits my hand perfectly, even more so than other Strats I have and I love the tone, expecially in the middle position.
Can anyone pass on some more info regarding this model? How many made, special features, approximate dollar value, etc.

careful with the case they mar easily.

I've got one too. I absolutely love it. I got the sunburst model without the case. Only problem is that I was told Fender didn't use as hard of a metal on the frets, so after a year, mines already in need of a fret job. It's not too bad though, and I'll probably put it off for a few months yet. All in all, I give it a 9.5/10. It plays better than 95% of the strats out there, and I got mine on super clearance for about the same price as a squier.
