I know this is the Strat forum, but you folks are very knowledgable and active, so I will post here too.
I just repaired a dreadnaught acoustic guitar that had fallen, and sustained a pretty severe neck crack. it is the typical V-shaped crack near the headstock, under the nut. The crack was almost all the way thru the nato neck, but the fretboard kept it from being a complete break. I did a nice repair on it(I beleive) and want it to last.
My question is, how do I find out what strings will exert the least amount on tension on the repaired neck?? I want to use phosphor bronze round wounds, in a light gauge as a starting point. Where can I find out what brand will put the least amount of stress on this repaired neck??

Some string manufacturers' websites list their string sets' pulling tension.

Here's a suggestion to keep the pulling tension down:

Buy a .010 gauge phosphor bronze string set and a single .008 string. OR, a .011 phosphor bronze set and a single .009 string. Remove the low E string of the chosen set and bump the rest of the set down a string. Now, you'll have an acoustic .008 or .009 set with pulling tension, guaranteed to be less than any prepackaged acoustic set.

You could set it to Nashville tuning.
