Help me decide ..I can't make up my mind on which position to put a Gold and Silver Lace Sensor pickup in...I know that most would say run the Gold in the neck and silver in the mid..I would have to agree if this was a hot gold but it is the Standard Fender Gold with the 5.8 k resistance with 3600 peak frequency and 2.4 henries inductance...While the Silver is the Hotter 7.14 resistance with 3000 peak frequency and 3.38 henries inductance..

I have really been thinking about using the silver in the neck for the hotter 70's sound..I'm building my second Floyd Rose Strat for hotter sounds for heavy classic rock..Thats why im favoring the Silver in the neck..Im using a Red/Silver dually in the bridge ..I would like to get others opinions on this ...I know traditionally the silver is mostly used as a Mid pickup..But by the ratings it seems it would handle the Neck position okay.Another fear i have is Gold is not as high of an output pickup as the Silver and that the Gold would be overpowered by the mid silver if i used the Gold in the neck position..

If anyone has any thoughts on this matter or if there is an error in my thinking please let me know...I would like to hear from others that have used the Silver in the neck position...Or if there maybe someone out there with experience with this set up..Thanks

What have you got at the bridge. Conventional wisdom would say put your hottest pickup at the bridge.

If you research the Strat Pluses including the Ultra, you'll see the evolution of the sequencing of these pickups as the models evolved. Tele-Plus had blue at the neck, and red-duals at the bridge.

Also search the Actodyne website because there are a host of other colors beyond the original four which you might want to consider.

Of course, the final choice is based on the intent of the build.
