Here we go all over again. One person says one thing. Another person comes along and contradicts it. Unless you can sneak into the Corona Plant and hide behind a stack of necks you probably will never find out the truth.

I think I saw the same video that FreshSteve did. They told the viewer that Fender makes it own parts.

Sidestepping the whole economy and trade imbalance issues, I don't see what the big deal is regarding the origin of a component as long it is durable and does its job, which segues me to say that with all the various model Strats, Teles and on and on out there, if Fender didn't volunteer MIA, MIM, MIJ or where ever, there would be an entirely different attitude towards these various models, who owned what and which were defended (as ridiculous as that is in itself) as most desirable among them. YMMV.

In a nutshell.

Cheers - C

PS: Martian, I think I finally found out what YMMV means! A round of applause, please!

And the crowd roared!!! :D :D :D

To remove any ambiguity: "Your Mileage May Vary."

In context of these boards it means, you may or may not disagree with me on differing levels and/or degrees.

Yep, I finally got there! :D

And as it happens on this particular issue my mileage seems to be identical to yours. I seldom even click on these threads anymore, but when I do it's nice to read what you said...

Cheers - C

Thank you!! I normally don't bother with these kind of threads either as they are akin to, per Shakespeare, "Much ado about nothing". But sometimes, I feel compelled to let my opinion and rationale be known.
