Sorry for the size, and bad quality of the pictures. I just took them on my mobile. Its a 1969 Custom Shop (re-issue). I got it around last October and its my favourite guitar. I'll post my others on here too in a minute.
P.S. Just previewed it, and sorry for the very, VERY bad quality... but what cha' gonna do

No truss rod, how do they compensate for string pull?

I'm not really sure. I never really adjust things on my guitars. I use .12's and sometimes .11's so the 'string pull' is pretty tight I suppose.

Beautiful git man, screams jimmy

VooDoo

truss rod is adjusted on the other end of neck where the neck pickup is. I wonder why Fender did it that way for some time.

Thanks. And yea, I did actually know about the adjusting thing on the bottom of the neck. Didin't know it was used as a truss rod thing though.

Oh, you can't see the skunk stripe in the picture and I know they made some '69's without a truss rod and thought it might be one of those.

It doesn't have a skunk stripe on this one. No Strats in the 60's did.
Heres a good link to find what each year looks like. I'll give you a link to a '69 Strat: http://www.stratcollector.com/scn/base/69.html

Heres some pictures of my American Series Strat. This is the only other Strat I'v got. I much prefer the Big Headstock look. I'm looking to get a Highway One soon.

Don't have the slightest. Can't they do it without a skunt stripe then?

They don't come cheap! Saying that, I do have one but I'v never uploaded anything from it to the computer so I just picked the easy option.
