Tomorrow, via Federal Express Ground, my first Stratocaster will arrive at my office. I've played a cheap Ibanez starter guitar since 1999. By tomorrow afternoon, I'll have a NOS 1956 Time Machine Strat , custom-team built to my specifications. Wanted to share the good news with fellow Strat fans, probably the only group on the internet that can understand my excitement. I'll be sure to post pictures when possible.

I had a hard time sleeping last night and probably will tonight. I ordered this Strat in November of 2008. While it was ready a few months ago, I had to work hard to come up with the remaining money to pay it off. Finally, last Friday, I came up with the last $400.00 that I owed the music shop. They shipped it the same day and I've tracked it online ever since.

"When you're ready," indeed... Congratulations! That's a very classy way to enter the Fender fold. After five minutes (not even that) you'll be saying "Where have you been for the last ten years?!" 8)

(P.S. I'm having trouble sleeping, and all I've got coming to me is an eBay'd Cusack Screamer pedal! Savour the anticipation..!)

She is a Beauty Jeff! Congrats on your new lady!

Does she sound and feel as good as she looks?

I will get it tomorrow in my office, being delivered by Fed-Ex. Those pics were taken by the music shop when it arrived from Fender. I can't wait to hear this guitar.
