Blertles you had my mind boggled till I realised you come from N.Z. Here in the U.S people were running for the hills to pull there money out of banks for fear of a total collapse and since the Government only insures each person up to $100,000 things just went bust. I have not seen as bad a time here in my 47 years on the planet. Then to top it off I live in N.Y which is one of the most expensive cities in the world to begin with it is just a mess. Then to add insult to injury we have a mayor who is worth over 20 Billion Dollars and you have to here him yaping about how it is tuff for all of us and we have to ride it out. What the hell does he know about roughing it when he is one of the richest guys in the world who came in and raised the price of everything from parking tickets to cigarretes which are just about $10 a pack now. I would also like to know how he came into office 8 years ago worth 5 Billion and in 8 years quadrupled his money while everyone is going broke. Yes Mr Mayor thank you for crunching Park $@!&# in with 500 high rise condos. I guess we know how you made that money and how you totaly disregarded term limits and said you were not leaving. TALK ABOUT BALLS

People like that crack me up- Our Prime Minister is the same. though he has cut ministerial spending like a christmas turkey which is good, and he refuses to be paid more than he should be- by puting freezes on govt. pay-rises . He actually grew up in poverty himself in state housing complex in a broken home, educated himself on his own merits then spent years in the USA working for meryl lynch in the higher ranks, came to NZ, got into politics and became our PM. He has led us out of recession, which is a feat considering the size of our economy. He is filthy rich- but hes a guy who has worked his way to the top and hasnt forgotten his roots & he has worked for every cent. A great family guy, who has come from a broken home and broken that family cycle, the guy is an inspiration. He will be on Letterman Show this week- look out for him guys- he is a top bloke 8)

Getting back to topic now- early sig models- Claptons, SRV ( I know that there are a few early ones with brazilian rosewood boards) and Beck models- '94 anniversary models- with matched headstock... thoughts anyone? :D

The hitch on the artist models is that there are so many out there. Take the Clapton which I have in Olympic White there are tons of Claptons and you can fetch a close to new one on ebay in the mid teens. I also have a Beck but I would sooner be buried with it then sell it as it is a go to ax and it has issues with changing color in areas and it has been played hard but still looks great, The one thing I know for sure is I can get back more than I payed for both as I bought them for a grand each brand new off the bay when they were 13 and change so with the hike and 2K price tag thats a given. I have never lost money ever on any MIA Fender ax in all the years. As far as being worth good money I will just throw this advice out there when a guitar comes out it is the ugly and least popular color, or accessories no one likes that winds up being the collectible.
