That was an unreal performance, one of the best hendrix covers since Buddy Guy doing voodoo chile in Houston.

Gary is without a doubt one of the greatest guitar players alive.

That red strat and Gary have been together a long time. It is just when he went full force into blues that he really was only playing the Paul and would use a Tele on a few numbers. But in the 70s and 80s Gary played the Strat and super Strats alot

Awesome performance, he's definitely putting some heart into it...I also love his version of Stormy Monday with Albert King:

I quite often read comments saying gary is a hack, I don't understand it....for my taste I think he plays a little too fast sometimes but hey each to their own, red house rocks anyways.....

Well I may be the odd one out here but the link in the OP aside from the fact that it is awesome I feel he is playing a Gibson "tone" through that Stratocaster, to me is does not sound enough like "single coils" but rather he is just using a Strat. I never liked this video and I am not biased because I have the Albert and Gary Stormy Monday on my favourites and I think that it one of the greatest vids I have seen, I just can't say the same for this one sorry, but great link none the less.

You gotta love him - a guitar playing force of nature.

But how the hell does he do that stuff without using his little finger :?

Gary played les pauls also during is early career. He played his Peter Green Les Paul Standard exclusively when he was with Thin Lizzy and early part of his solo career, even before he went to playing blues exclusively. I'm a big fan of Gary Moore.
