Hi, this is my first post here, but a serious one to me non the less. I have a 2004 American Standard Stratocaster, ash body, Butterscotch Blonde finish and one piece maple neck. Guitar is all 100% original. My pickguard is black, all black, not 3 ply B/W/B. Well last night I discovered that I have a small crack in my pickguard at the selecter switch. I decided to go online to search for a factory Fender replacement exactly like the one on there. I only found 1 solid black factory Fender pickguard, 11 hole, newer production. Here is the thing, it is almost $200.00. It is not loaded, just a bare bones pickguard, no accesories.

Why is it so hard to find the all black pickguard? And why so expensive? I found countless 3 ply, B/W/B factory Fender pickguards for around $20-$50. Can anyone here shed some light on this for me?

Thanks

allparts and warmoth should make you an exact replica of your pickguard sans crack.
If not my mate will make you one if you email him the exact dimensions or a pdf 100% the size of the original.

I'm sure warmoth do it though if your in the US
