I noticed that the bridge of my '08 MIM Strat is touching my pickguard, not on the sides, but in the front. It might be just barely touching because it doesn't seem to affect my tremolo use. I also noticed that the gaps on the sides of the bridge are slightly different. Could the holes have been off when drilled at the factory? Anyone have a similar experience? How much gap should there be between the pickguard and bridge?

Issues such as these are for the most part, quite normal and essentially irrelevant.

If one looks for imperfections, and this can be with regard to anything, one will surely shall find them. Forget about them and enjoy a great guitar!
