I am trying to find the production date on my strat. I have the seriel numbers . Can anyone help?

To date a strat, you have to get to know it. Buy it some nice flowers. Take it for some coffee. Once you do that you are ready to date your Strat. :lol:

:?: I have 2 strat guitars and need to know what year they are but one starts with a E4 and the other starts with E3 and both could be 4 different years in the 80's by fenders website and everybodys link on fender.Is there someone that could help me out.Thanks Dave[/list]

I have tried buying it flowers,taking it to a movie and dinner but no luck. I am pretty sure it was made in mexico the seriel number is MN410486. Thanks to everyone for the help. I will try buying it some wine then maybe it will give me it's age easier. :lol:

The Strat Plus with the E4 serial will be either a 87 or 88.
