My golden relic is my first and if it doesnt sell I dont care as it now allows me to grab it and not worry about scratches etc which I do worry about my mint 2005 62 RI. When I play this relic it does feel differently, originally the body was just plain and sterile but now its opened up a more aggressive style of playing in me not anger but more of an attack attitude in guitar playing, can really strum it without worrying about scratches to the pic guard hahahahahhaha a bad relic sucks, this is a sventies relic my next will be a 60s. I told the poster what to do just paint and sand and paint and sand till you get the look you want, theres no secret, my guitar took me hours and hours to get right

Guitars and other musical instruments depreciate in value anyway even without relicing. Some will appreciate but many will not. Look at Ebay and see what a loss people are taking when selling guitars compared to what they paid for them. This is the way it works.

Musical instruments don't have a good resale value.
