Hi Bluesguitar65,

If you don't mind me asking, what brand is that Seafoam Green pedal? (6th from the left) And how well does it work?

I remember seeing those shaped pedals at a local Best Buy and was curious about them. They were the least expensive line that the store offered and I didn't know anything about them so I stayed away from them. But if this line works well then I'll take another look at them. Cost wise I could get 2 pedals for the price on 1 of a major name brand.

So what do you think about that pedal? And what effect is it?

I don't currently own a multi-effects unit, although I always liked the sound of the Boss units better than most. I owned an ME-50 for awhile, and it worked well, but about half of what it did was unusable for my purposes.

I've been shopping for one for about a year, and have pretty well decided on the Line 6 M13. Incredible versatility (which is what I'm always looking for... I have to play in so many styles and contexts that it's a must), and great sounding effects (these models are not the same effects you'd find in a POD or a SPider amp... it's the software found in Line 6's stompbox modelers).

M13 is the monster as far as I can see.

Effects and tone are like a lot of other things, what you like and think sounds sweet, someone else will think somebody's running their nails down a blackboard. A lot of guitar stores like Sam Ash and Guitar Center have an array of stomp boxes & multi effects pedals already hooked up for you to try out with different guitars & ampls. That might help you make a decsion and it's a fun way to spend an afternoon. After doing this myself, I ended up with a Boss ME-20, which to my ears sounds great with my new Strat.
