BigJay, you've got to be very careful around Teles!! So addictive that I play mine more than the rest since buying it!

Yep i'm on a tele kick at the moment. I just cant get happy with anything else. The last time something similar happened it was a hankering for a strat in 96

Where does it all end?

Jay that looks like a Baja tele to me mate. Its all the guitar i've needed for a month now. Very very thick neck (never seen anything like it in truth) and 6 way switching as standard on that model. Designed by masterbuilder Chris Flemming and made in Mexico.

Of course i could be wrong, it just looks that way to me.

Fhop watch that tele mate, their sneaky sorts that get in under the radar.

I've owned and sold 2 tele's now and just cant get into them. I'm thinking the LPS (as CV has coined it) is the way to go!

Should the grain not turnout as I hope, I'm reserving a pearloid 7up green as a plan B finish. Otherwise, I'll just buff the mahogany and clear coat.

excuse my ignorance but whats a Lps?

I'm considering this as a good project idea too.
Buy two of em, hollow out some cavities. Glue em together, hey presto (pesto) a hollowbody tele.

LPS Body is like a PRS Santana and others. Warmoth sell these bodys as well.

Truth be told I think LPRS (Les Paul Reed Smith) to be more accurate.

Anywho, here is a pic of the mahogany cut and lightly sanded with 60 grit
