Hi once again, James2517: welcome back to the Forum!

Another guitar - and it looks like you've taken big steps forward. Congrats! :D

Now. Do you have a YouTube clip for us to hear it, please?

Cheers - C

PS To jnastyNE: respectfully, I'd suggest your post a couple back may not be in the spirit of this particular thread. Might be nice to go back and change it...? :)

Dude this is (no longer,) out of line.

Go to the start of this, and you will realize this guy is working with very limited resources, and limited tools. i think he has shown great imagination, and ingenuity to make a playable instrument. While not a polished specimen, i think an excellent achievement.

to the original poster:

keep working, love to see what comes next in the evolution of your work.

He's also doing it with a lot of humor. He knows perfectly well that toothpicks are not ideal fretwire, for instance. It's all in good fun. :D

jnastyNE: you did the right thing, thank you. Respect.

Well done James.

And you saw it here first, "MIP".

So which is better, MIA, MIM or MIP?

I'm really sorry, but I just don't understand. Andy - what book and what points? Inbalance - what do these shortcuts come from? And thanks to all of You, people. I didn't expect You to be so kind ;) I could make any youtube presentation because I was finishing guitar in the morning, the same day when I had to give it to my girlfriend. But I'm going to record and upload it asap ;)

Hi James, a little humour directed at the people who frequent this forum.

MIA, is made in America, MIM, is made in Mexico and now there is made in Poland.

There are endless discussions about whether MIM are of equal quality as MIA. some say yes, some say absolutley not, some say the oposite is true. The point is, these discussions are endless, and can get quit heated at times.

My strat actually was made in China, I think it works great and I enjoy learning to play on it. And that is what is important to me.

I hope that you continue to develop your talents as a young engineer. Some of the greatest inventions of our time have come from the most humble of experiments. God speed.

This thread reminds me of the opening sequence to "It Might Get Loud" when Jack White says "Who says you need to buy a guitar?"

I like your guitar too!
