Hi! I'd like to present my Strat. Everything is made by myself, including pickup :D. This is an experiment, just to show that it's possible to build guitar having about 5$ (output jack).

Pickup has surprisingly good tone, but tune is a "bit" off.

Hello James 2517,

Very crafty, it could use a bit of polish
but the idea is spot on.

Are those frets wooden?

What's next?

Cheers.

Better quality than some of the Chinese fakes on ebay.

So where do you buy scratch. It's used to make all kinds of great things!!!!

I like the rawness of that. love to whip it out at a gig and peel someone's face off with it.

SUPERB!

I'm curious to know what kind of voicing that pickup gives?

And I'm fascinated by the from-the-front neck fixing. I hope the Custom Shop boys are looking in. There's some stuff to learn here.

Great work, James! I love it!

Cheers - C

I. I can't believe my eyes...!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a very clever guitar. How WOW - and all or only $5.00. How long is the neck? It looks like a smaller scale.

Ceri, here's the video James posted on another thread:

There are problems with tuning because strings are too high over the neck, but sound is nice (if it's plugged into an amp - I've got only weaak cable and Amplitube) ;(

Although the intonation is a bit off, I think the pickup has a pleasant tone. Keep up the excellent work, James! 8)

When i first saw the guitar i thought it was made of cake like on the volkswagon advert. Until i saw RR's link. That pickup sounds absolutely fantastic. Yep the intonations off and you cant tune the thing but that pickup needs preserving, its bloody brilliant sounding.
